Routine Pool and Spa Service Work
Routine cleaning and water care are different from technical fault diagnosis and regulated trade work.
Usually routine service
- Water testing
- Chemical balancing
- Cleaning and vacuuming
- Filter cleaning or cartridge replacement
- Basic visual checks and maintenance reports
Not routine service
- RCD or safety switch diagnosis
- Fixed electrical work
- Gas heater servicing
- Refrigerant circuit work
- Regulated plumbing, drainage or gas pipework
Why cleaning-only companies are excluded
Cleaning-only work is often not tied to an official trade register, which makes technical qualification verification unreliable. Many cleaning-only businesses do not hold electrical, gasfitting, refrigerant or regulated plumbing authority because those licences are not needed for cleaning.
